Six of the trendiest shoes for Fall

The newest shoe trends can be overwhelming… just because there were SO MANY coming down the runways.

There is no such thing as “too much” as the feet are getting an upgrade this season. Glitter? Yes. Satin? Of course! Velvet? You bet. Boots that come almost to your waist? OH yes.

I’m breaking down the fall shoe trends that turned up this season to six simple categories. These are trends that I’ve seen everywhere from the runways to the street to fashionistas on Instagram. So if you’ve not yet scooped up the coolest trends… here’s you chance to think ahead and have the coolest kicks around.

Metallic-AH!

Who What Wear spoke to the team at mytheresa.com, an online shop for designer fashion. They said it’s all about being bold for fall 2017.

“Buy anything but basic!” they said. “Forget adjectives like plain, minimalistic, normcore. The clothing trend of a ‘working girl’ in men’s jackets and boyfriend jeans should balance her inner shiny goddess with a pair of spectacular shoes.”

Texture please!

One of the biggest trends of the season, is all about the feels. Satin, suede, leather… BORING. Try velvet. It’s the hot item on every runway and it’s everywhere: Dresses and bodysuits and trousers and yes… shoes The luxurious textured fabric can add a fresh feel to any shoe… even sneakers!

Thigh (really really) high boots

This season boots are so high that they look like leggings. Or you can even try the boot pant or “bant.” After Karlie Kloss publicly professed her love for the style (“All-in-one, baby”), and several big-name designers showed versions on this season’s runways -Tamara Mellon, Edun, and Versace – this trend has gone through the roof!

Get on the platform already…

2017 skin tight ankle boots are just like their name: tight around the ankles usually made out of velvet like fabrics, soft and cozy on the skin, latex, leather, et all, with straight chunky heels, either very high or low square styles, and an either round or square toe, with always a thin sole, no platform whatsoever.

All that glitters… is amazing!

According to Fashionista.com:

Glitter boots appeared six separate times on the Fall 2017 runways throughout New York, Milan and Paris, and that’s not including their spot in Marc Jacobs’s recent Pre-Fall (or Resort) 2017 collection.

Enough said.
