Showbiz update: Jenny Priestley brings us the latest on office playlists, Jane Fonda, Russell Crowe, Hillary Clinton and the Coronation Street musical.
Working 9 to 5 with Adele
According to a new survey, Adele is the most listened to artist during work hours.
Apparently we’re all plugging our earphones into the Brit singer to help us get through the 9 to 5. 61% of us listen to music whilst at work with 16% revealing Adele is their singer of choice.
Personally I always plump for a bit of Coldplay, what about you?
Fonda and Crowe star in Fathers and Daughters
Jane Fonda is to star with Russell Crowe in a new film about a relationship between a father and his daughter. Fonda will play Crowe’s friend and agent.
The film, somewhat obviously called Fathers and Daughters, follows the story of an author played by Crowe struggling to raise his young daughter; it will also show the daughter living in Manhattan 25 years later.
The impressive cast also includes Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul, Diane Kruger, Quvenzhane Wallis and Octavia Spencer.
Do you remember the Coronation Street musical?
The Street of Dreams, a musical based on Coronation Street, was due to embark on an arena tour back in 2012 starring Paul O’Grady and some of the
show’s famous faces. But after just two shows the plug was pulled after the producers announced they’d hit financial problems.
Well it seems the show may just go on with administrators looking for new producers.
Of course it all depends whether they can get new financiers but we could see the show back on the stage.
