Hi, thanks for joining me.
This is where you can stay up to date with a selection of things that are going on in my life; including my drive time show “The Smooth Drive Home” on Smooth Radio heard across the UK every weekday from 4pm to 7pm. I also present a soul show on British Airways Radio, you can currently hear a Barbados Special on BA as well, (you may have gathered that I love Barbados) and periodically I stand in for Clare Balding on BBC Radio 2. Do you get the impression that I quite like being in radio and recording studios? I even have a mini studio at home (crazy I know). The studio really is my second home.
When I hit the big 5-0 I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew how I felt – fabulous. I found I had energy that I’d never experienced before and almost felt naughty because instead of slowing down to do what 50year old women did 5 or even 10 years ago, I wanted to travel, I set a goal to get into a bikini, I was listening to the same music as my girls, (Drake’s Hotline Bling being one specific tune, video and all). I embraced and fell in love with having teenage daughters who were encouraging me to explore different make up and skincare regimes, I loved going shopping with them which was something I didn’t really do with my own mother, and it was my 18 year old daughter Morggan who demanded that I invest in a number of wigs to change my look every day. My younger daughter Kamarane has a strong creative soul and is in a Performing Arts School, so I have a lot of creativity around me.
I’m not fighting my age, I’m embracing it, acknowledging that being a woman of a certain age in 2017 is an awesome thing and 50 is definitely the new 30.
Check out my blogs on all the things I’ve become passionate about, Family, Health, Entertainment and Beauty which is a big one for me, the word beauty seems to be heard less and less when you reach a certain age and I would love us to re-ignite that.
Life is great, life is precious, life is fabulous so enjoy it with me across radio, social media and AngieGreaves.com
