Hi, thanks for joining me.
This is where you can stay up to date with a selection of things that are going on in my life; including my Drive Time show “The Smooth Drive Home” on Smooth Radio heard across the UK every weekday from 4pm to 7pm. You can also hear me on Sunday morning, “Smooth Sunday Mornings” where I read out your Love Letters. If you’re travelling on British Airways long haul check out my Soul Show.
I love being in the radio studio, I even have a mini studio at home, radio really is the best medium and the studio really is my second home.
When I hit the big 5-0 I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew how I felt – fabulous. I found I had energy that I’d never experienced before, I wanted to take care of my body, mind and spirit in a way I hadn’t thought of before and almost felt naughty because instead of slowing down to do what women in their 50s did 10 or even 5 years ago, I wanted to travel, work out, set a goal to get into a bikini, and I was listening to the same music as my girls; Stormzy, Beyonce, Drake, Cardi B, but I still love my classic Soul, R’n’B, Reggae and Soca etc.
I embraced and fell in love with having daughters who were encouraging me to expand on life. They suggested I start changing my hair and wigs daily, experiment with different make up and skincare regimes, went shopping with me (a lot more than I did with my own mother). I just pressed the “reset button” on life.
I’m not fighting age, I’m embracing it, acknowledging that being a woman in 2020 is exciting, it’s awesome. 50 is definitely the new 30.
Check out my blogs on all the things I’ve become passionate about, Family, Health, Entertainment and Beauty which is a big one for me, the word beauty seems to be heard less and less when you reach a certain age and I would love us to re-ignite that.
Life is great, life is precious, life is fabulous so enjoy it with me across radio, social media and AngieGreaves.com
