Nail Inspiration
With August having come to an end, the autumn season will soon fall upon us. When the weather gets cooler, I tend swap my bright nail shades to darker tones. I prefer keeping things minimal, such as staying away from nailart and wearing just one colour, but it’s time to try something new! Solid Colours
Switch out your brightly coloured nails for some lovely earthy tones. According to Lee Eisemen from Pantone Color Institute, the autumn 2015 colour palette includes ‘multi-faceted, androgynous colours that can be worn to portray effortless sophistication across men’s and women’s fashion; it is the first time we are seeing a truly unisex color palette.’
Negative Space
Ever since negative space nailart hit the runway last autumn, the style has been growing more and more popular. They remind me of clothes with cutouts and most of the designs I’ve come across are very minimalistic – they make naked nails look amazing. I especially love the third design!
Metallics
Just because it’s no longer summer, it doesn’t mean you can’t rock fun nails! Metallic nails are perfect for night outs and they look super chic (no wonder why they’ve been in trend for so long)!
Minimal
Sometimes, less is more and these nail designs are perfect for those who are a bit timid to try out loud patterns. Although they are rather simple, I think they’re also eye-catching as there’s a slight twist to the boring old solid coloured nails.
