After a skin scare with her daughter who had severe eczema and an even bigger scare with her son who contracted melanoma, Karen Welch took matters in to her own hands and encouraged her husband to join her when it came to after surgery skin care for their son.
Returning to Grenada and using natural products like fresh nutmeg, nutmeg butter and petroleum jelly, they created and now manufactuer, naturally pure products. The Albertha’s Garden range includes cleansers, soaps, body butters, creams and a lip balm.
Karen Welch told me her story and why she turned her back on traditionally prescribed medicated moisturing cream, especially in her son’s situation.
