I was lucky enough to go along to the ‘Real Downton Abbey’ where the hit ITV series is filmed to meet Lady Fiona Carnarvon and talk about her book Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey: The Lost Legacy of Highclere Castle.
The building is the most amazing piece of a historical architecture with visitors queuing up to tour the great rooms, the dining rooms, the library, the grounds and the gardens. I became qutie addicted to Downton Abbey after my visit.
Seriously, this building needs to be seen to be believed.
