Amazing Grace – Missing Aretha

Aretha and David Nathan

The Queen of Soul would have celebrated her 77th birthday today, unfortunately Aretha Louise Franklin went home on 16th August 2018.   Gone but never forgotten, she is still and always will be an icon, and her album Amazing Grace, is still the best selling live gospel album of all time.  The Complete Amazing Grace Recordings (first issued in its entirety in 1999 on CD) is available now for the first time ever on vinyl as a 2-LP set with liner notes written by renowned soul music historian, author, and reissue producer as well as long time friend of Aretha, David Nathan.  The Amazing Grace film is on general release from 10th May.  From the trailer you can see it was a moving event.
