This Sunday is Mother’s Day in the UK and although I think you should tell your mum everyday that she’s fabulous, this is the one day that mum should be treated like the ultimate queen. The role of a mother is universal – regardless of age, race, colour, sexual orientation or culture a mother is a mother. Babies are conceived the same way, carried the same way, and born the same way (whether through the birth canal or by Cesarean).
Motherhood is a role that comes with challenges that are quite unique. Do you ever pause and look at your children and think about the fact that they were once inside your body? It’s amazing. Happy Mother’s Day to all birth mothers, grand mothers, great grand mothers, aunts, mothers who adopt children and surrogate mothers.
COMPETITION
Flowers are always such a beautiful gift; so for Mother’s Day how would you like to surprise your mother with a lovely bunch of flowers? A beautifully created bunch will be delivered to her home or place of work with a special message compiled by you.
To win, all you need to do is send us a heart felt collection of words that truly encompasses what you feel about your mother (or mother figure), not just a few lines!
Email your “Message to Mother” to [email protected] and the best message will win a beautiful bunch of flowers.
Terms and conditions apply: Closing date is Thursday 3rd March 2016 at 6:00pm. We will not accept late entries. Flowers will be delivered on Monday 7th March 2016. Delivery address must be included within you entry.
