Went to The Landmark Hotel last night, the Dancing For Heroes, Back On Track Charity was honouring veterans and heroes who are very much in need of healing physically, mentally and emotionally. Funds raised will go towards emotional healing and counselling as well as much needed equipment for those whose lives have changed physically. Lesley Reynolds and Dr Aamer Khan hosted a lovely event, and it was great to catch up with friends. Beautiful evening. Ax #backontrackcharity #dancingwithheroes

Hey Peeps, Happy Saturday. I really want to big up Diahanne Rhiney and her vision that she’s held onto for the Baton Awards and her Charity S.W.I.M (Strength Within Me). The Awards ceremony on Thursday was so uplifting. I don’t do too much after work but was so glad I didn’t go home; the energy in the room, the emotions shared from each Award winner just lifted my spirits. Women of all walks of life, who are passionate about what they do, being recognised for a number of reasons, whether it be business, charity, overcoming health challenges, thought leadership, you name it.

If there are 2 pieces of clothing I think you definitely need regardless of your body type, height or age, it’s a Little Black Dress (the LBD), and a Black Teddy Bear coat.

Got Teddy Bear coats in yellow, lime green and powder blue and love them all, but regardless of the fashion trend at the time, whether you’re going for a casual lunch, going out for the evening or even if it’s just freezing cold(!) a black Teddy Bear coat will always pop. Anything in any colour you wear underneath it works.
Picked this up from Wallis some time ago, it has a firm place in my wardrobe and comes out every Autumn and Winter.

Hold on to those coats, there’s a big freeze on the way.❄️🥶

Back for another #FashionFriday this week 🧥
The weather is getting colder and lawd after the budget yesterday better hold onto some old favourites clothing wise.
This is an ASOS favourite of mine, and one that I hesitated to put in the Charity bag last year, glad I kept it.
Oversized, (and very warm), the mixtures of oatmeal, brown, dark and light grey, give you a number of options with the basics. So I threw on a simple cream roll neck from H&M and brown three-quarter length pants with zip at the ankle which I picked up in Primarni. Topped off with a hat I recently picked up in TKMaxx.

Take one day a week and remove all those hats you wear. Put on your Fashion hat … doesn’t even have to be new clothing, could be an outfit that makes you feel good, a pair of jeans you can still get into after a year or 2. Make that day about you, no one else, just you.

Winter is definitely approaching, temperatures are dropping, so the focus is Coats this month.

#FashionFriday isn’t always about new outfits but items in your wardrobe that you’ve held onto because they make you feel good.
As you know purple is my favourite colour, so this coat from @riverisland really makes me feel good, and I can still fit into it yaaaaaas. Perfect for those brunch outings whilst it’s still slightly warm enough to sit outside 🍂

Regardless of your age, height, body type, step out just one day a week in an outfit that makes you feel good and walk like you on the pavement.

Take off all of the different hats that you wear throughout the week and dedicate one day to yourself #fashion #selfcare etc etc

MASSIVE thanks to Never Fully Dressed for this red 2 piece... and yes I was a bit chilly when I went out in this but the Autumn colours are everything.
Loving the blue leaves and white petals on the red, the Vienna wrap skirt can be complimented with a matching sleeveless necktie blouse or a blouse with sleeves and a sexy opening in the back. I hate the tops of my arms so chose the blouse with sleeves I managed to get the shoes (which spend more time on my daughter‘s feet than mine) 🤣 they were in the sale at River Island. Definitely had to carry a coat with me because even though we’ve had some mild temperatures lately the evenings get chilly.

Speaking of coats, November’s #FashionFriday will be all about coats.

This would also be a great time to highlight that Dress For Success Greater London have appointed me as one of their Patrons for the Charity. Their aim is to inspire women who have been out of the workplace (for whatever reason) to get their mojo back, so they provide not only clothing and accessories, but interview skills and inspirational advice to build confidence.
