National Radio Day

I love being in the radio studio, I even have a mini studio at home, radio really is the best medium and the studio really is my second home.

I’ve been on the radio since… 1990! If you do the math… that’s a LONG time! I can’t even begin to tell you how fortunate I feel to be able to do what I do – and to have been able to meet the people I’ve met. So grateful!

I was announced as the first DJ at the launch of Spectrum Radio and by 1992, joined Choice FM for five soulful years, for the “Angie Greaves Breakfast Show”. After this time, I joined The BBC, where she presented shows on BBC London, BBC Three Counties Radio and the Drive Time show on BBC 2002 in Manchester.

Whilst bringing up a young family, I freelanced across Jazz/Smooth FM, Radio and LBC 97.3FM until 2006. I started working with Magic in late 2006 and was the first woman to join the Magic presenter line-up. Starting off on Mellow Magic, moving to Drive-Time and also presented the very popular prime Afternoon slot.

After 14 years at Magic, in September of 2019, I was delighted to be invited to join Smooth Radio for a brand new national broadcast of ‘The Smooth Drive Home’ heard across the entire UK.

And there you have it! Over 30 years on the air… and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Thank you for being with me along the way, you are all the reason I do what I do. Getting to spend time with you over the airwaves is my very favourite thing!
