Kamarane – my tweenie – took her SATs and was a complete nervous wreck before, but came out smiling afterwards. It was really hard for me to watch her every morning going through the school gate as if she was going to be sentenced for something, but she had victory in the end.
“I took my SATs this week, I was so nervous the week before but tried to keep as calm as possible.
“2 Numeracy papers and 1 Mental Maths paper,
“SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar)
“It was nervewracking walking into the exam room, but once I got there I just thought “oh well, you’re here now, just do your best”. I took a few deep breaths, had a sip of my strawberry water and got on with the work. The time went so quickly I just couldn’t believe it.
“How did you get on with your SATs? I think I did OK, just got to wait for the results now!!”
