Illuminating Summer Skin

We’ve all seen how popular contouring has become. The Kardashian’s  made it popular with their staged and sculpted faces for years before the next trend Strobing hit the ‘Gram. (Strobing = highlighting) Now it’s back to “less is more” and “fresh faced” and “non-touring.” As much as I’m tempted to just say this is another trend, this seems like something I can get behind. Basically… the absence of a trend.

There’s something mesmerising about skin that looks like it’s been misted with sunshine. And though that iridescent, glimmering skin seems only reserved for magazine covers, you can easily get the glowing look at home!

Non-Touring

What is non-touring? Picture a no-makeup/makeup/dewy/I just have great skin naturally effect. Basically when people tell you your skin looks great you can just say “I’ve been drinking SO much water.” and they’ll buy it. Think gorgeous hydrated looking skin that glows.

When you think contouring, you think harsh and heavy dark makeup that’s caked on. Non-touring is all about glowing skin in the hot summer months.  There’s something incredibly mesmerizing about skin that looks like it’s been misted with happiness and lit from within by a candle. And though that iridescent, glimmering skin seems only reserved for Photoshopped magazine covers, we promise you when we say: You can easily get the glowing look at home, as long as you use the right products.

Glotion

Illuminating moisturisers, the result of a strobing and moisturiser mash up, is the easy way to have gorgeous skin this summer. Serums, exfoliators, and masks are amazing, but if you want a natural dewy glow then glotions are where it’s at.

I absolutely adore less-is-more and anything that allows me to speed up my beauty routine. I’m not much for contouring – I’ve no idea why it’s become such a necessity.  I think it ages me personally so I steer clear BUT Morggan and Kamarane swear by it, so is it an age thing? I love that glotion can make your skin look ethereal without looking like a sparkly vampire.
