Who doesn’t like at least one ABBA song – go on admit it, your secret is safe with me!
The 70’s Swedish group who won Eurovision are still on fire and in demand. Their songs feature in the film Mamma Mia, the theatre production Mamma Mia, ABBA Voyage and VR show – which is so lifelike it’s hard to believe you’re not actually watching Agnetha, Anni-Frid, Benny and Bjorn in the flesh – and of course there’s Mamma Mia The Party, an immersive and interactive production set in a Greek Taverna complete with a three course meal and wine, and trust me when I say you would believe you are in Greece.
The latter production is directed by Stacey Haynes who was hand picked by Bjorn Ulvaeus to oversee the project from casting to set design to song order. Stacey isn’t new to production and entertainment having worked in the industry for more years than she would care to mention. In 2023 alone she worked on Elf The Musical, Greatest Days the Take That Musical and the list continues with The Rocky Horror Show, Chicago and The Lion King.
Excellence is an understatement when it comes to power house Stacey who Bjorn has, once again, hired to Produce and Direct Mamma Mia The Party in Rotterdam for 2024. Watch this space and remember this name… Stacey Haynes
