I just can’t wait to see ‘Motown The Musical’ tomorrow and I definitely will be writing my review next week (although I probably won’t be able to stop talking about it on the radio). The reason I feel so passionate about ‘Motown’ is because it’s timeless and changed the sound of music globally. Berry Gordy was handpicked for the job; this wasn’t just an idea that somebody had “hoping” that it would be successful, this was a created “movement”. Mr Gordy was a passionate music lover and businessman who set the musical world on fire with this global institution. ‘Motown The Musical’ is touring the States and I spoke with my friend and colleague who is Directing the Musical here in London, Charles Randolph-Wright. Listen to his media journey, meeting Berry Gordy and being responsible for this phenomenal theatrical task.
