Now… I didn’t want to mention this word but the images of tinsel, shortbread, mince pies and crackers are creeping in to the major department stores and supermarkets… I know…Christmas!
The season comes alive Magic’s way on 25th November, a month before the big day with our annual festive celebration The Magic of Christmas with Nativity Rocks. This year the line up includes Ronan Keating with Boyzone, Rick Astley Alfie Boe, Katherine Jenkins, Gabrielle, The Shires and Kylie Minogue. I can’t wait for this one, having worked with both Ronan and Rick is amazing, having known Gabrielle for some years it’s so good to see her come back after an eleven year silence, she was something else at the Jazz Cafe with just 50% of her voice but the love from the crowd for her kept the room to capacity and they ended up singing her songs. I’ve interviewed Alfie Boe, gorgeous man, and also Katherine Jenkins and The Shires so to see Miss Kylie in the flesh will definitely add an extra spark of magic personally for me. She’s the global pop princess who has reinvented herself so many times over 3 decades, who could forget her first scene in Neighbours as tomboy Charlene Robinson nee Ramsay? And girlfriend, who’s just turned 50 and looks fabulous with a capital F, rocked a wicked pair of legs and showed off her rapping skills with Justin Timberlake at the 2003 Brit Awards, remember this performance?
Yep, that’s Charlene (can’t you just hear Madge’s voice?)
The icing on the cake for this event is walking out of the London Palladium after an afternoon of seasonal serenading, and being swarmed by Central London Christmas Lights on Argyll St, Oxford St, and Regent St and even though the weather is actually cold for the time of year, there’s a feeling of warmth in the air, the true meaning of Christmas wafts over you.
Tickets are currently SOLD OUT but keep listening to Magic Radio for more information and updates….. and it wouldn’t surprise me if Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott find a pair or two to give away on Magic Breakfast.
